Anticoagulation Clinic Our Anticoagulation Clinic offers a focused approach to help patients manage the proper level of blood anti-clotting medications. It’s vital for patients using this therapy to maintain the proper range of blood clotting time. During each visit to the clinic, patients will be assessed for compliance with blood-thinner therapy, complications associated with prescribed medicines, newly started or recently discontinued medications that may alter blood-thinner concentrations, dietary changes that may affect blood levels, and other issues that may alter medication dosing. Based on these results, proper dosing of medication can be determined. Patients may have blood-thinners like Warfarin prescribed to reduce the chance of stroke, heart attack, or blood clots in the lung or leg. Each patient will receive individualized dosing recommendations in verbal and written formats to assist with patient compliance. Our staff works diligently to keep our patients safe from complications and in the appropriate ranges to enhance the care experience.
